Doll Up

Lasty is back from the hospitals and shelters with more dolls. There are many more. Lasty is giving a workshop this week to these dolls. It is all in song. We hope to Pod Cast it soon.

After reconstruction dolls will be challenged to see what they can do. Is there fire in their bellies? I'm kidding when I say that Lasty urges the dolls, "be a man," and "you're not hurt," but he's kidding too. It's like urging fate, "grow up will you," or saying to mountain, "move!" It sounds like Lasty's Shop is a football camp. You can shrink it down to that. Or you can blow it up to this. What you do will bite you. Or it will kiss you. What you do is what you do. This is doll teaching.

"Be a doll" is what Lasty says. But what is a doll? What, oh what, is the essence of doll. Dollness. Do you hear a lot of hammering, the washer going, Lasty singing in the background? Those are the sounds of the doll shop. Do you hear the chorus of the dolls? Mama. Mama. And more. These days they put voice box into bears. The say mama too.
