A Call for Dolls

Lasty has come home from his cruise
and calls for dolls,
so many aboard ship and shore,
to come home.
If you are a doll
you might not know
you are not home.
What makes you home is
you know your father and mother.
Lasty has shopping carts for all.
And beds! Isn't it tiring
to always have to be somebody?
Isn't it tiring to always have to be right?
Especially when you can just be a doll.

A Doll for Slow Club

At this time of year Lasty gets presents for dolls. He goes out on his porch, opens cupboards, looks underneath. He is at home even when away. He was laying out doll presents to the sound of ocean clams and reefs and starfish while wrapping. It was a doll for Slow Club, slow enough to feel the air when it's still sun. He would send the doll to his friend on the great whale line. She organized dolls in the slow states. We can't tell what the present is, but it is slow. It is so slow it is a Blurtoise.
